Gavel Buddy Live offers many different online bidding services and is compatible with virtually any operating system (Windows, MacOS, Android, and Linux). No additional software install needed! Below is a list of the different types of online auctions we provide.

Webcast Auctions allow online bidders to bid "real-time" during a live auction. The bidders can listen to an audio stream and/or watch a live video stream from their home. Bids are accepted from both online bidders and onsite bidders.

Benefits of Webcast Auctions

  • Pre-bids are accepted up until the live auction starts.
  • Option Video and/Or Audio streaming available
  • During a live auction, bidders are allowed to leave absentee bids.
  • Following an auction, both winning and losing bidders will receive emails with the items they won or did not win. Included in these emails will be instructions for payment, shipping, terms etc…
  • Live auction communication between the bidders and the auctioneer via online chat
Online Only Auctions are also known as “timed auctions”. Each lot listed in these auctions has a specific ending time. Once the item meets the ending time of “0”, the bidder with the highest bid wins that item.

Benefits of Online Only Auctions

  • Staggered ending times for each lot in the auction. This allows bidders to have a more accurate idea of when the items they are interested in will end and allows them to bid on more items in the closing minutes.
  • Bids placed within the last minute of an item ending will automatically add additional time to allow for additional last minute bids. (Once the countdown for an item hits “0”, the bidding is closed!)
  • Following an auction, both winning and losing bidders will receive emails with the items they won or did not win. Included in these emails will be instructions for payment, shipping, terms etc…
Pre-Bid Auctions allow auctioneers to accept pre-bids for an auction that is not going to be online.

Benefits of Pre-Bid Auctions

  • This is useful for auctioneers because it still gives people that are not able to attend an onsite auction the ability to leave pre-bids on items.
  • The pre-bid functionality is useful to auctioneers because it allows their online bidders an opportunity to bid on items prior to an auction in the event they can’t attend the onsite auction.
  • Following an auction, both winning and losing bidders will receive emails with the items they won or did not win. Included in these emails will be instructions for payment, shipping, terms etc…
